How cross-docking works

Cross-docking moves inbound goods into outbound shipments with little or no long-term storage. Instead of putting every product away for later picking, the team checks, sorts, and prepares freight around its next destination.

Good flow starts before arrival

Share inbound quantities, destination details, labeling requirements, and carrier schedules before your shipment reaches us. We’ll help align receiving and pickup plans, flag discrepancies, and prepare freight for the next leg. Turnaround depends on arrival times, shipment condition, preparation needs, and carrier availability.

One connected fulfillment plan

Combine this service with ecommerce fulfillment, wholesale distribution, and store integrations. We’ll review your products, volumes, and handling instructions to agree on the right workflow.

Our B2C ecommerce fulfillment rates start at $1.95 per order, plus a fee for each additional item. Contact us for a tailored quote and to see if you qualify for this rate.

Most brands complete onboarding within 2–4 business days, including integration and account setup. With timely completion of the steps on your end, we can be ready to fulfill orders within a few days. Your launch date also depends on how soon your inventory arrives and is received at our warehouse.

We use warehouse management (WMS) and picking software to verify products and quantities against each order before packing. Every product has an assigned location ID. If your products don’t have barcodes, we scan their storage locations to confirm we’re picking from the correct spot. These checks help catch errors before orders leave our warehouse.

No, Save Rack doesn’t require long-term contracts. We simply ask for 30 days’ notice if you decide to cancel.

Our focus is a 24-hour fulfillment turnaround for eligible orders. Timing depends on inventory availability, agreed order cutoffs, business days, and any special preparation. Your fulfillment plan will confirm the schedule for your products; carrier delivery time is separate.
